We are looking for a highly analytical and technically proficient Associate Manager of Yield Optimization to be the resident monetization expert for our vertical video product, Bytes. In this role, you will act as a strategic extension of our publisher partners' ad ops teams. You will dive deep into their Google Ad Manager (GAM) and Managed Prebid setups to uncover revenue growth opportunities, optimize ad yield and ensure seamless delivery of programmatic video campaigns within our social-style, swipeable video player.
Key Responsibilities
:
Yield Maximization:
Analyze programmatic performance data across publisher partners to identify and execute yield optimization strategies within GAM and Prebid environments.
Monetization Strategy:
Act as the subject matter expert on video monetization, adept with best practices for ad density, pricing rules (floor pricing) specifically tailored to a swipeable vertical video experience.
Ad Stack Management:
Work with publishers to ensure all their demand is plugged into the video experience. Review, monitor, and optimize demand sources to ensure maximum yield.
Prebid Optimization:
Monitor and optimize Header bidding setups, evaluating bidder performance, adjusting timeout settings and troubleshooting discrepancies to maximize win rates and eCPMs.
Performance Analysis:
Conduct rigorous A/B testing on ad formats, load times and ad experiences. Build comprehensive dashboards and reports to track fill rates, eCPMs, and overall revenue uplift for publishers.
Technical Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and resolve complex ad delivery issues (VAST/VPAID errors, latency, rendering, viewability issues) to ensure a high-quality user experience without sacrificing revenue.
Manage day-to-day yield operations across assigned accounts/platforms
Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Product, Tech, and Design teams) for smooth execution of ad experiences
Identify issues, trends, and improvement opportunities through data analysis
Support new customer onboarding
Maintain documentation, trackers, and process adherence
Ensure timely execution of operational tasks and meet SLAs
Qualifications & Skills
Experience:
Minimum 2 year in Ad Operations, Yield Management, or Programmatic Monetization, ideally working directly for a digital publisher or an ad-tech vendor supporting publishers.
Platform Expertise:
Hands-on administrative experience with Google Ad Manager (GAM 360) and a strong understanding of Prebid (client-side and server-side) is preferred
Analytical Mindset:
Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and data visualization tools. Ability to translate raw programmatic data into actionable revenue strategies.
Communication:
Good communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ad-tech concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
