Data Science - ML+Optimization

Experience : 6-10 years

Requirement :

• Bachelor’s Degree in technical or quantitative field from an accredited college or university (Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Bioinformatics, Physics, Operations Research, or related fields is preferred) with 7-10 years of relevant experience in Machine Learning, Optimization and Statistics.
• Strong mathematical background with ability to understand algorithms and methods from a mathematical viewpoint and an intuitive viewpoint.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
• Develop and implement advanced machine learning models to solve complex business challenges.
• Focus on optimization techniques, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of data-driven solutions.

• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, incorporating best practices into the data science workflow.

Qualifications:

• Machine Learning Expertise

:

(Must Have)

• Extensive knowledge of supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms, including decision trees, random forests, support vector machines, clustering methods, and neural networks.
• Skilled in implementing ensemble methods and boosting techniques to enhance model accuracy.
• Optimization Techniques

:

• Proficiency in using genetic algorithms for optimizing complex problems by simulating natural evolution processes.
• Experience with simulated annealing, applying it to find approximate solutions for large-scale optimization challenges.
• Ability to utilize linear programming, convex optimization, and non-linear optimization techniques to improve system performance and efficiency.
• Project Leadership

• Proven track record in leading data science projects from concept to implementation, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Capability to manage cross-functional teams, timelines, and project deliverables.
• Statistical Analysis and Modeling

:

• Expertise in statistical tests, regression analysis, and time-series forecasting.
• Competence in designing predictive models that generate actionable insights.
• Data Visualization and Communication

:

• Strong ability to convey complex data findings through visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib.
• Effective communication skills for presenting data insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Technical Proficiency

:

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar for data analysis and model development.
• Experience with data technologies such as SQL, Hadoop, Spark, and cloud-based platforms like AWS or Azure.
• Strategic Thinking and Problem-Solving

:

• Strong analytical skills with an innovative mindset focused on continuous improvement and learning.

Skills:

• Hands-on experience with Retriever Augmented Generations, Agentic Frameworks either in POC or client engagements
• Hands-on experience with time series forecasting models such as ARIMA, SARIMA, Exponential Smoothing, Prophet, LSTM, and others.
• Comfortable with at-least one cloud provider between Azure, GCP or AWS
