Position Overview
The Network Engineer – Level 2 is responsible for operational support and implementation of enterprise network infrastructure across campus, data center, and cloud-connected environments. This role focuses on hands-on configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of routing, switching, security, and wireless systems to ensure network stability and performance.
What will you get to do here?
Operate and maintain enterprise Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching and routing environments.
Configure and support core network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, and access points.
Troubleshoot network services such as TCP/IP, ARP, VLANs, STP, LACP, OSPF, BGP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and IPsec.
Manage day-to-day firewall operations, including policy changes, NAT rules, VPN setup, and network segmentation.
Assist in the operation and support of Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and Network Access Control (NAC) platforms.
Support and troubleshoot wireless networking, including 802.11 standards, RF fundamentals, roaming, and authentication.
Provide support for SD-WAN environments, focusing on link monitoring, path selection, and failover mechanisms.
Perform operation support tasks for AWS networking components (VPCs, subnets, route tables, IGW/NAT Gateway, security groups, and NACLs).
Utilize monitoring and telemetry tools (SNMP, NetFlow, syslog) and AIOps platforms for proactive incident detection and resolution.
Conduct packet-level troubleshooting using logs, counters, and packet captures to resolve complex network issues.
Execute approved network changes during maintenance windows and rigorously maintain technical documentation and network diagrams.
What qualities are we looking for?
Strong hands-on experience with routing, switching, and firewall operations in an enterprise environment.
Solid understanding of enterprise network protocols and end-to-end packet flow.
Experience supporting modern network technologies including wireless, SD-WAN, ZTNA, NAC, and cloud networking (AWS preferred).
Familiarity with monitoring, telemetry, and AIOps-driven network operations.
Excellent troubleshooting skills, strong attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
Proven ability to work effectively in a structured, security-focused enterprise environment.
Certifications such as CCNA, JNCIA, or equivalent are strongly preferred.
