Responsibilities
- Legal Engineering & AI Strategy
- System Architecture: Own the end-to-end legal tech stack, primarily Linksquares and its integrations with Salesforce, Zip, DocuSign, Clari, and other core systems. Ensure automated, "manual-touch-free" data flows.
- AI-Driven Efficiency: Lead the implementation and planning for process optimization, aggressively advancing the team’s effectiveness through the strategic use of Generative AI and self-service automation (e.g., legal intake bots).
- Process Engineering: Continuously identify and remove roadblocks in the business-legal interface to ensure "one-click" execution for high-volume agreements like NDAs and DPAs.
- Revenue & GTM Enablement
- Deal Desk Partnership: Serve as the primary operational bridge for GTM teams and Deal Desk to ensure smooth operations on revenue contract review and signing.
- Contract & RFP Acceleration: Streamline the legal lifecycle for MSAs and RFPs to improve win rates and response times, ensuring Sales can move fast without sacrificing legal integrity.
- Privacy, Compliance & Program Management
- Privacy Operationalization: Partner directly with Privacy Counsel to manage DPIAs and streamline data subject requests, ensuring AI training data pipelines meet global standards without slowing down R&D.
- Strategic Project Leadership: Lead high-impact cross-functional projects from conception to completion.
- Corporate Governance: Partner with IT and HR Ops to maintain compliant onboarding/offboarding processes and robust document retention practices.
- Vendor & Spend Optimization
- Procurement Orchestration: Coordinate the review and approval of vendors and service providers.
- Strategic Outsourcing: Manage the legal budget and outside counsel spend, overseeing vendor strategy to ensure maximum ROI and operational excellence.
- Operations & Performance Insight
- Data-Driven Leadership: Develop and deliver crisp metric reporting (monthly/quarterly) on RFP volume, contract velocity, and compliance initiatives.
- Operational Excellence: Act as the connective tissue across the organization to ensure deadlines are met and provide day-to-day administrative support to keep the legal department running like a well-oiled machine.
Qualifications
- Platform Mastery: Demonstrated experience managing contract management platforms (specifically Linksquares) and successfully integrating them with Salesforce and Zip.
- Legal & Compliance Fluency: 5+ years of experience supporting attorneys and compliance personnel. You have a deep understanding of how Legal/Compliance functions operate within a fast-paced technology company.
- Project Leadership: 5+ years of demonstrated project management experience with a proven ability to track, prioritize, and drive multiple complex projects to completion simultaneously.
- Crisp Communication: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to distill complex operational data into concise, actionable, and "crisp" insights.
- The Builder Mindset: You are energized by "removing the roadblock" and believe that legal processes should be as intuitive as the AI products we build.

Hybrid Work @ Eightfold:
At Eightfold, we believe our best work happens when we collaborate closely, learn from one another, and build together. We follow a hybrid work model that combines flexibility with a strong emphasis on in-person collaboration to foster innovation, culture, and rapid execution. Employees based near our Santa Clara, London, Bangalore, and Noida offices are expected to work from the office
three days
per week, as we believe regular in-person engagement is essential to how we build high-impact products and strong teams.

- The base salary range below is provided for pay transparency. Base pay is only one piece of our total compensation package as this role may be eligible for bonuses and equity awards. Compensation varies depending on a number of factors including qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. Zone is determined by location.
Zone A (SF Bay Area): $100,000 to $130,000
