About the Role
Key Responsibilities
· Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, NetWeaver, HANA) and database servers.
· Manage system landscapes including client copies, transport management, patching, upgrades, and performance tuning.
· Execute system health checks, backups, disaster recovery, and capacity planning.
· Provision and integrate SAP Cloud ALM for implementation and operations projects.
· Configure monitoring scenarios: business processes, integration interfaces, jobs, and system health.
· Set up authorization roles, push-metric setups, and prerequisite parameter checks as per SAP notes.
· Implement change control and transport management (ChaRM) across cloud and on-premise landscapes.
· Support upgrade and consolidation projects involving Solution Manager and SAP Cloud ALM.
· Integrate with ITSM tools (like ServiceNow) via APIs for incident and change orchestration.
· Configure alerts, SLA metrics, and key performance indicators.
· Provide 24×7 support, troubleshoot root-cause issues across Focused Run, CALM, and SAP systems.
· Guide automation for CICD pipelines and job orchestration via Redwood or similar tools.
· Support IT audit requirements, enforce compliance in CALM and Basis setups.
· Produce documentation, reports, and best-practice guides for ALM and landscape governance.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
· 5–7+ years in SAP Basis administration and ALM roles (e.g., Focused Run, Solution Manager, CALM).
· Hands-on experience with SAP System installations, upgrades, transport management, and performance tuning.
· Proven expertise in Cloud ALM provisioning, configuration for monitoring, and API integrations.
· Familiarity with integration to ITSM platforms like ServiceNow, Redwood, and job automation tools.
· Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and problem-resolution capabilities.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to mentor junior team members.
Preferred Skills
· SAP certifications: CALM, SAP Basis, SAP Activate, Solution Manager.
· Experience with hybrid SAP landscapes (on-premise + cloud).
· Knowledge of ALM best practices, ITIL frameworks, and audit/compliance processes.
Familiar with CI/CD concepts, job orchestration tools, and monitoring dashboards
