About the Role
We’re looking for a Writer Acquisition & Marketing Lead to design and scale creator acquisition strategies that bring top writing talent onto Pocket FM. This role is highly marketing-driven, focused on funnel growth, creator storytelling, and positioning Pocket FM as a must-write platform for serialized fiction writers.
You’ll own how we attract, educate, convert, and retain writers—using compelling narratives, smart campaigns, and creator-first messaging. Community building supports acquisition, but the north star is writer growth and content supply.
What You’ll Do:
Writer Acquisition Strategy
- Build and execute scalable acquisition programs to attract high-quality UGC writers across genres.
- Identify new talent pools across platforms like Wattpad, Webnovel, Tapas, Radish, Inkitt, and beyond.
- Design top-of-funnel initiatives that convert aspiring and established writers into active Pocket FM creators.
Creator Marketing & Positioning
- Develop marketing narratives that clearly communicate why writers should choose Pocket FM (monetization, reach, career growth, IP potential).
- Highlight writer success stories, earnings milestones, and breakout shows to inspire acquisition and conversion.
- Own creator-facing messaging across landing pages, email, social, ads, and creator portals.
Campaign Ownership
- Plan and launch creator acquisition campaigns (on-platform and off-platform) from ideation through execution.
- Partner with performance, brand, and content teams to test acquisition angles, creatives, and channels.
- Run genre-specific pushes tied to content demand and platform strategy.
Partnerships & Collaborations
- Work with creator advocates, writing influencers, and ecosystem partners to expand reach.
- Support contests, challenges, and incentives designed to bring new writers onto the platform.
Data & Optimization
- Track acquisition funnels, conversion rates, cost per creator, retention, and content activation metrics.
- Use insights to refine targeting, messaging, and onboarding flows.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate closely with content, product, and ops teams to improve writer onboarding, activation, and retention.
- Act as the internal champion for creator needs, feedback, and market trends.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years experience in creator marketing, writer acquisition, audience growth, or content ecosystem development.
- Proven success acquiring and activating creators for UGC, storytelling, or fandom-driven platforms.
- Strong marketing instincts with hands-on execution ability.
- Exceptional storytelling and copywriting skills—especially creator-facing.
- Deep understanding of serialized fiction platforms, creator economics, and fandom culture.
- Experience with platforms such as Wattpad, Webnovel, Tapas, Radish, Dreame, Goodnovel, Kakao, Crazy Maple, Inkitt, or Galatea TV is a major plus.
- Familiarity with creator discovery trends across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Discord, and Reddit.
- Comfort working with performance data, KPIs, and growth experiments.
