Customer Engineer to join our high-performing team. In this role, you won’t just be watching
from the sidelines; you’ll be hands-on with agile software development and testing technologies,
helping our customers solve real-world problems.
This is a fast-paced startup environment perfect for a motivated self-starter who wants to
understand the intersection of deep tech and business growth.
Note: This position is based in Mumbai. Candidates must be comfortable working
US hours (5:00 PM to 2:00 AM IST) to support our global customer base.
What You Will Learn & Do:
● Your Role: You act as a strategic technical consultant to navigate customers through
complex evaluations by architecting solutions for their unique use cases. You will move
beyond standard troubleshooting to ensure BrowserStack is seamlessly integrated into
their specific engineering workflows.
● Technical Expert: Assist the team in resolving technical queries and roadblocks for
customers during their product evaluation phase. Technical success would be a crucial
metric.
● Solutioning: Help develop technical approaches (code snippets, scripts, or
configurations) to show customers how to get the most out of the platform.
● Cross-Functional Collaboration: Shadow senior engineers in meetings with customer
Dev, QA, and Security teams to learn how complex technical deals are closed.
● Market Intelligence: Help capture product feedback and technical requirements from
customers to share with our Product and Engineering teams.
● Documentation: Create and maintain technical guides or "How-To" frameworks to
simplify complex concepts for our users.
What We Are Looking For:
● Academic Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree
in Computer Science, IT, or a related technical field.
● Technical Curiosity: Basic understanding of Automation Testing (Selenium) and APIs.
You don't need to be an expert, but you should know your way around a script.
● AI Curiosity: A strong interest in Artificial Intelligence and its application in software engineering. You should be comfortable using AI tools to assist in problem-solving and be eager to learn about AI’s role in the future of the
BrowserStack ecosystem.
● Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. You should be able to explain a technical concept without making it sound like gibberish.
● Adaptability: A "whatever it takes" attitude. You thrive in fast-paced environments and can handle multiple tasks at once.
● The Basics: Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
