Role Overview
As a
Senior Engagement Manager
, you will serve as a Business Transformation Architect leading strategic operating model initiatives within Private Equity and Wealth Management environments. This is not a technical project management role, this is a business transformation leadership position requiring deep asset management expertise.
You will act as the critical bridge between business and technology, ensuring alignment across Capital Markets, Investments, Fund Finance, and enterprise systems. This role is central to driving clarity, structure, and standardization across fragmented capital lifecycle processes.
You will work closely with executive stakeholders to redesign operating models, streamline workflows, and enable CRM-to-accounting integrations that support scalable growth.
Why This Role?
- There is currently no structured intermediary between business and technology teams.
- Processes are fragmented across Global Capital Group (GCG), Investments, and Fund Finance.
- Capital call workflows and reporting handoffs are not standardized.
- Executive leadership requires a unified capital lifecycle operating model.
This role is designed to bring structure, clarity, and transformation leadership to these challenges.
Responsibilities
- Document and analyze the
current-state capital lifecycle
across multiple personas including Capital Markets, Investor Relations, Investments, and Fund Finance.
- Identify process fragmentation, reporting gaps, workflow inefficiencies, and control weaknesses.
- Define and design a
Target Operating Model (TOM)
for capital lifecycle management aligned with Private Equity best practices.
- Lead cross-functional workshops to facilitate alignment between business, operations, and technology stakeholders.
- Translate business pain points into structured use cases, business requirements, and transformation roadmaps.
- Own end-to-end
process redesign initiatives
, including CRM-to-accounting system integration.
- Standardize capital call workflows, reporting handoffs, and operational governance frameworks.
- Serve as the primary onshore engagement lead between executive stakeholders and delivery teams.
- Support executive-level conversations with structured materials, transformation narratives, and decision frameworks.
- Establish governance models, KPIs, and success metrics for operating model transformation.
- Drive change management initiatives to ensure adoption across business functions.
- Mentor cross-functional teams and guide structured problem-solving approaches.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- 12+ years of experience in Business Transformation, Operating Model Design, or Strategic Consulting within Private Equity, Asset Management, or Wealth Management.
- Deep understanding of the
capital lifecycle
including fundraising, capital calls, allocations, reporting, and fund accounting.
- Experience working across Capital Markets, Investments, Fund Finance, and Investor Relations functions.
- Strong expertise in Target Operating Model (TOM) design and process reengineering.
- Proven experience bridging business and technology teams without being a technical project manager.
- Experience leading CRM-to-accounting or enterprise system integration transformations.
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Experience facilitating cross-functional workshops and driving alignment across complex organizations.
- Strong documentation, process mapping, and business case development capabilities.
- Ability to operate in high-ambiguity environments and bring structure to fragmented processes.
